Anna Burneath Burdick, 76

Anna Burneath Burdick, 76, of Harbor Springs, died Feb. 14, 1995, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Schiller Funeral Chapel of Harbor Springs. The Rev. Edward Warner of the Stutsmanville Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Harbor Springs.

Mrs. Burdick was born July 25, 1918, in Harbor Springs, the daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Dewey) Allerding. She grew up in Harbor Springs where she attended school through the 10th grade.

On May 5, 1935, she married Edward Burdick in Harbor Springs.

The couple farmed their property on Quick Road. Mrs. Burdick worked for Montgomery Ward in Petoskey for many years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Burdick preceded her in death. on Oct. 5, 1975.

She was a member of the Harbor Springs Grange and the State Road Extension group.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Ginger Burdick, of Petoskey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Opal and Robert Goldsmith of Petoskey, and Mabel and Garth Spencley of Pellston; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Peter Allerding of Harbor Springs; two sisters, Mildred Rosebaum and her husband, Arthur, of Alanson, and Mrs. Ardith Radle of Petoskey; two sisters-in-law, Veda Tippett of Harbor Springs, and Luella Kopenkoskey of Petoskey; and one brother-in-law, Gordon Burdick, of North Branch, Minn. Mrs. Burdick was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth, and a grandson David Spencley.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bortz Health Care of Petoskey Activities Fund.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Schiller Funeral Chapel of Harbor Springs.
