A. W. Burrows, civil war veteran and long time resident of the city who has been at the Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids for several years, died at the hospital of that institution late Monday. He was 84 years of age.

Surviving are his three sons, David and Fred Burrows of Petoskey and Robert of Munising and a daughter, Mrs. A. E. Horn of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Henika's chapel with Rev. William S. Ross, pastor of the Parr Memorial Baptist church officiating. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
