Funeral services for Amos B. Armock, 54, of Alanson, will be held at the Stone Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 p.m. Tev. Dale McAlvey of the Burt Lake Christian Church will officiate and interment will be in the Alanson cemetery. Mr. Armock died early this morning at Lockwood-McDonald Hospital.
He was born december 2, 1920 in Alanson and attended Alanson schools. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater.
On October 16, 1945, he married the former Mildred Allerding in Petoskey. The couple made their home in Alanson since that time.
Mr. Armock had been employed as a rural mail carrier since 1949.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Frank of Oden and Larry of Alanson; two daughters, Mrs. Dewey (Sandra) Mummert of Traverse City and Cynthia Armock of Lansing; three grandchildren; three brothers, Albert Swadling, Alanson, Forrest Armock, New Lothrup and Rufus Armock, Alanson; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Dettweiler and Mrs. Herbert (Maude) England, both of Alanson.
The body is at the Stone Funeral Home where friends may call beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
