Letters of Administration to William M. Robinson, on the Estate of Culbert Robinson

The People of the State of New York by the Grace of God free and independent. To William M. Robinson of the town of Cobleskill in the County of Schoharie, Send Greeting,

Whereas Culbert Robinson late of the town of Cobleskill as is alledged, lately died intestate having whilst living, and at the time of his death Goods, Chattles and Credits within this State, by means whereof the ordering and granting administration of all and singular the said goods, Chattles and Credits, and also of auditing, allowing and finally discharging the account thereof doth appertain unto us: and we being desirous that the goods, Chattles and Credits of the said deceased may be well and faithfully administered, applied and disposed of, do grant unto you the said William M. Robinson full power by these presents to administer and faithfully to dispose of all and singular the said Goods, Chattles and Credits - to ask, demand, recover and receive the debts which unto the said deceased, whilst living, and at the time of his death did belong, and to pay the debts which the said deceased did owe, so far assuch goods, Chattles and Credits will thereto extend and the law require: Hereby requiring you to make of cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattles and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to your hands, possession or knowledge; and the same so made to exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Office of theSurrogate of the said County of Schoharie at or before the expiration of six Calendar months from the date hereof; and also to render a just and true acount of administration when thereunto required. And we do by these presents depute, constitute and appoint you the said William M Robinson adminstrator of all and singular the Goods, Chattles and Credits which were of the said Culbert Robinson deceased

In Testimony whereof we have caused the seal of Office of [page 272] our said Surrogate to be hereto affixed. Witness John Gebhard Esquire Surrogate of the said County of Schoharie at Schoharie the seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen and of our Independence the Forty third year.


Schoharie County Js Zadok Church of the town of Cobleskill in the County aforesaid being duly sworn saith that Culbert Robinson of the town aforesaid is dead and died intestate and that he died leaving three brothers and two sisters of whom William M. Robinson is one and that the said Culbert Robinson was a single man when he died, and that his personal property was worth about one hundred and fifty dollars when he died, and that he died on the sixth day of March last past.

William Robinson was then duly qualified as administrator after executing a bond with Corn's C. Sprung and Zadok according to law
