Edward L. Lasley, 82, of Cross Village, died May 21, 1985, at Petoskey Geriatric Village.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Cross Village. Fr. Laurus Rhode will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Lasley was born Nov. 22, 1902, in Michigan. He attended CRoss Village schools and married the former Katherine Pikur in Petoskey. The couple made their home in Cross Village and Mrs. Lasley preceded him in death in 1976.
Mr. Lasley worked for the Emmet County Road Commission as an equipment operator for many years, retiring in 1963.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Survivors include: six sons: Lee, Henry, John, and Sam all of Petoskey; Richard, of Harbor Springs and Thomas of Smyrna, Tenn.; six daughters, Doris Lasley of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Jennie Heeres and Mrs. Jerry (Mary) Niswander, both of Harbor Springs, Mrs. Vilan (Leona) Kalbfleisch and Mrs. Wilford (Margie) Crouch, both of Petoskey and Mrs. Stanley (Alice) Marshall of Levering; 25 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Lasley of Cross Village and Leo Lasley of Manchester; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Melvina) Paige of Dexter and Mrs. Gerald (Olive) Luck of Houghton Lake.
The family suggests memorials to the Petoskey Geriatric Village. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the Schiller Funeral Chapel where friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the funeral chapel
