Emily Lenora Allen Crump 1922-2008

Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Emily A. Crump, died peacefully in the early hours of June 25, 2008. Emily was born on February 24, 1922, in Park City, Utah to James L. and Mary E. Allen. She was the youngest of seven children. Emily was raised in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. She served an LDS mission in the South Central States. Emily married Wendell L. Crump on June 30, 1950, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Together they raised five children. Emily worked at O.C. Tanner for 20 years where she made many lifelong friends.

Mom worked hard her entire life to take care of her family. She gave of herself unselfishly and she always made every holiday exceptional. We all have very special memories. She loved her pets and taking care of her yard and garden. She valued her independence and she was able to maintain that to the end. We would like to thank everyone who helped her out and made that possible. Special thanks to Peggy, Glenda and granddaughter, Lizsett.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Steve and Martha Crump, Randy L. and Edette Crump, Peggy Vrooman and Larry Miller, Loreli and Bill Riley, and Kent and Glenda Crump. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Mom, thank you for everything. Now you can get some sleep.
