1932-2009

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Mrs. Eva Graf, 76, of Great Barrington died at home on March 21, 2009, surrounded by family.

She was born on July 7, 1932 in Tooele, Ohio. She was married to Eugene J. Graf, Jr. in July of 1973.

Besides her husband of 35 years, she leaves behind her children: Vanet Jensen, David Welchman, Eva Dean Welchman, Douglas Welchman, Paula Welchman, Denise Graf, Lonnie Welchman, Noni MacLeay, John Graf, Matthew Graf and their families. She also leaves her siblings: Peter Black, Beverly Black, Richard Black, Karen Bushman, George Black, Ann Ransom and their families. She had 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Arnell H. Welchman and two daughters, Lisa Paul and Sarah Welchman.

Eva was an active member of Calvary Christiam Chapel and founding board member of Hearts of the Father Outreach. She was well known as a gifted counselor, marvelous cook, talented massage therapist and creative dramatist. She was appreciated for her sensitive spiritual insight and her selfless service to family and friends. She loved singing and playing games with all her children and numerous grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service celebrating the life of Eva Graf will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Calvary Christian Chapel at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at FINNERTY AND STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hearts of the Father Outreach in Sheffield through Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
