LAKELAND - Jacqueline Mexson Catob, devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, entered Heaven Jan. 4, 2011 and was embraced by her loving Savior, Jesus---finally at peace and in perfect health. She passed due to respiratory failure.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Karl J. Catob, of Lakeland, sister Rosemary Adams of Washington, NJ; seven children: Karen Catob of Conroe, TX, Helene Malgiero Catanese (Dave) of Delaware City, DE, Sandra Warner (Richard) of Brandon, FL, Linda Houser Mexson of Spring Valley, CA, Steven of Haines City, FL, Deborah Williams (Jim) of Lakeland, and Ann Newman Conigliaro of Tampa, FL and thirty-two grandchildren: Rachel, Ian, Kendall, Keir, Rocco, Karl, Gene, Maria, Christina, Rosemary, Steven, Annie, Sara, Mary, Jacqueline, Nathan, Nehemiah, Tim, Damon, Ashley, Ad-rianne, Rani, Charles, Jessica, Bethany, Jeremy, Joshua, Daniel, Grace, Stephanie and Geoffrey. She was predeceased by her precious grandson, Andrew. Twenty-five great grands and counting continue the legacy begun by Jacqueline and Karl.

Jacqueline was born in London, England, on September 15, 1934, to Ethel and Charles Mexson. She attended Putney High School and worked as a secretary for the Shell Oil Company. While Karl was serving in the U.S. Air Force, they met and married, eventually making their home in 8 states, and two countries. Jacqueline worked for University of Tampa and was a member of the First Alliance Church of Lakeland. Her children will deeply miss her wry humor, love of words, and continuing mission to be a better mother and admire her strength and courage in facing adversity.

The family thanks staff at Valencia Hills Health And Rehab and Good Shepherd Hospice for the loving care provided to Jacqueline.

Services will be held at First Alliance Church, 1919 E. Edgewood Avenue, at one p.m. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Lifepath Hospice Development Department, 105 Arneson Avenue, FL 33824.
