Joseph Robison was born June 26, 1768 in New York, the son of James Robison and Margaret Adams

Joseph married Cornelia Guinall 1 Jan 1794 in Fort Plain, Montgomery, New York.

The Robisons were Methodists and resided in Scoharie County where he lost his farm by endorsing notes for other people. In 1816 he removed to Tunkhannock, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, where he located and cleared a farm. In 1827 he sold this farm, which was one of the best in the country and removed to Clay, New York.

After the death of his wife, he followed the occupation of peddler and made his home with his various children.

Joseph died June 9, 1839 in Palermo, Oswego County, New York.

At this time, August 2017, over 26,000 descendants of Joseph and Cornelia have been identified.

Joseph Robison, ancestor of the Utah Robisons, was born June 26, 1768 in Scohara Co., New York, where he married about 1795, Cornelia Guinall. She was born Feb 11, 1778, died April 27, 1829 in Clay, Onondaga Co., New York. He died June 9, 1839 in Palermo, Oswego Co., New York. The Robisons were Methodists and resided in Scohara County where he lost his farm by endorsing notes for other people. In 1816 he removed to Tunsknock, Lazerne Co., Pa, where he located and cleared a farm. In 1827 he sold this farm, which was one of the best in the country and removed to Clay, New York. After the death of his wife, he followed the occupation of peddlar and made his home with his various children.
