Dies Today in
Detroit Hospital

Services for Lewis Engler, 44, of 1527 Willis-ave., who died in Detroit today at Outer Drive Hospital where he had been a patient for five days, will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

He was born Aug. 8, 1914 in St. Joseph county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Engler. He came to Petoskey with his parents in 1920. On May 11, 1935, he was married to Nellie Baart. He was employed as a truck driver for George F. Alger Co.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Engler injured his back and was taken to the hospital five days ago. Details were not available because the family is in Detroit.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Raymond of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Louis J. and Donald at home; one daughter, Mary Jo, at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Engler; two brothers, Floyd and Charles of Petoskey; a sister, Mrs. Arnold (June) Kataya of Detroit.

The body will be at the Stone Funeral Home Friday evening.
