Obituary
Emmet County Democrat, Friday, August 4, 1876:
DIED.--Mrs. Louisa Botsford, wife of D. W. Botsford, at her home two miles south west of Petoskey, on Monday, July 24th, of Jaundice. Mrs. Botsford was born in Ohio where she resided until after she was married when she removed to Allegan County, this State, living there until about one year ago, when she came to this country. Her health had been gradually declining and resulted in her death last week. Mrs. Botsford was a very charitable wife, and leaves a large circle of friends and relatives here and Allegan county to mourn her loss.
