Mildred Violet (Armock) Rosebohm

Mildred Violet (Armock) Rosebohm, 79, of Alanson, went home to her Lord Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Mildred was born March 22, 1923, in Harbor Springs. She graduated from Harbor Springs High School in 1941.

Mildred lived in Harbor Springs or Alanson all of her years, except during World War II when she worked in the Detroit area for the war effort. She retired from Curtis Wire in Petoskey in 1976.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Petoskey.

Mildred was the daughter of the late Arthur Allerding and the late Mabel (Dewey) Allerding.

She married Amos Armock in 1945 in Petoskey. He preceded her in death in 1975.

In 1979, she married Arthur Rosebohm, who preceded her in death in February of 2002.

Mrs. Rosebohm is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Dewey) Mummert of Traverse City and Cynthia (David) Drumm of Charlotte; and her sons, Frank (Diane) Armock of Oden and Larry (Linda) Armock of Manistique. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Billie (Albert) Stoneburner, Arthur (Eileen) Rosebohm, Kenneth (Arbutus) Barkley, Richard (Margaret) Barkley, Darlene (Lex) Potter and Jeanne (John) Harrison. Mildred, affectionately called Grammy, leaves behind many much -loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by brothers, Peter Allerding, Kenneth Allerding, and sister, Burneath Burdick. She is survived by a sister, Ardith Radle. She was also a very special aunt to many surviving nieces and nephews.

Mildred enjoyed playing cribbage and cards, dancing, reading and spending time with her family, which was always the most important joy of her life. She also enjoyed reminiscing and sharing humorous stories about her past. Mildred will be profoundly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered for her soft heart and compassion. She touched many lives with her kinds words. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family above all else in life.

Visitation for family and friends will take place 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Petoskey, the Rescue Squad of the Alanson-Littlefield Fire Department, or to the charity of choice.
