Biography

Esklund, Geneva. IN TRIBUTE TO THE PETERSON FAMILY, page 4:

Parley was the understanding one. His good advice and common sense was often sought after. He was Jack of all trades. He liked horses and had the knack for beautification, too. He was dependable and honest in all his dealings. Uncle Parley would relate stories with that true dramatic Humor, mimicking personalities to perfection. He was usually the life of the party and his cheery 'good mormning' and jovial remarks started the day out right for many of his friends. It was easy for him to live the second commandment, "Love thy neighbor as thyself". He met his wife, Lora, while helping make bricks in Scipio. They were married in the Manti Temple. His two fine worthy sons, DeLoyd and Merle are his imitators and do themselves proud in anything they undertake to do.
