Mrs. Antonia BRILHANTE, widow of Antone BRILHANTE, died last night at her home, 116 Broadway, after a long illness. Mrs. BRILHANTE was born in St. Michael's, the Azores 68 years ago, coming to this city 28 years ago. She was a well known member of the community and enjoyed the respect and esteem of a wide circle of friends throughout the city. She leaves three sons: Bento, Joseph, and Seraphim BRILHANTE; 21 grandchildren, one great grandchild; four brothers: Francisco A. CORDEIRO of this city, J. A. CORDEIRO of Bristol, Joseph and Antone A. CORDEIRO of St. Michael's the Azores, and a sister Maria CORDEIRO, also of St. Michael's. Her funeral will be held from her late home Saturday morning, followed by services in Santo Christo church of which she had been a communicant for many years. The funeral of Mrs. Antonia BRILHANTE was held this morning from her late home, 116 Broadway followed y services in Santo Christo church, where a high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. Francisco C. BETTENCOURT. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Interment was in Notre Dame cemetery. The bearers were Ermine SILVA, Manuel S. RAPOSA, Marinno S. GASPER, Manuel SOUSA, Augustinho A. CORDEIRO and Jacintho RAPOSA. Fall River Herald News Saturday, 8 Aug 1931.
