Life-Long Resident
Of Brutus Dies

Mrs. Charles Mummert, life-long resident of Brutus, died Saturday at Lockwood General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services will be held at Peters Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Raymond Essig in charge. Burial will follow at the Alanson cemetery. The body is at Peters' Funeral Home where friends may call.

Mrs. Mummert was born in Brutus April 19, 1887, and spent her entire life in that area. Surviving are: her husband; two daughters, Vineta, at home, and Mrs. Hazel Ormsby of Lansing; five sons, Leonard, Stanley, Howard and Walter, of Brutus, and Harold, of Petoskey; 18 grandchildren; five brothers, John Sydow, of Lansing, Herman Sydow of Marshall, William and Carl Sydow of Brutus, and Walter Sydow of Petoskey; and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Veler, of Toledo, Mrs. Emma Merchant, of Detroit, and Mrs. Elizabeth West, of Chicago.
