Ethel J. Bricker, 71

Ethel J. Bricker, 71, Petoskey, died June 9, 1987, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospitals.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey. The Rev. David Behling, chaplain at Northern Michigan Hospitals, will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey.

The former Ethel J. Kabelman was born June 18, 1915, in West Traverse Township, Emmet County, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Bachee) Kabelman. She attended several area schools and on Dec. 24, 1934, she married Charles Bricker in Petoskey. The couple made their home here. Mr. Bricker died Oct. 6, 1983.

Mrs. Bricker was a member of the Petoskey Friendship Center and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2462 Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George (Grace) Baumgartner of Oden, Mrs. Harry (Virginia) Carls of Mansfield, Pa. and Donna Bricker of Conway; three sons, Charles Bricker Jr., Albert (Sonny) Bricker and Allen (Roy) Bricker, all of Petoskey; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Rose Bricker of Petoskey, Mrs. Norman (Marie) Barker of Hulbert, Mrs. Walter (Beatrice) DeLong of Hastings, Mrs. Cecil (Frances) Clark of Paradise, Mrs. Carl (Jean) Ficker of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Marvin (Betty) Abts of EauClaire, Wis. and Mrs. Mervin (Katherine) Clark of Curtis; four brothers, Alfred and Kenneth Kabelman, both of Eckerman, Robert Kabelman of Union Lake and John Kabelman of Grand Rapids.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Stone Funeral Home.
