Funeral Services Held for

Lindon W. Robison in

First Ward Monday

The community was saddened by the death of Lindon W. Robison, 62, who passed away at the Fillmore Hospital early Friday morning, August 21, 1970, of a heart ailment. He was admitted the previous Saturday.

Born Dec. 28, 1907, in Fillmore, he was the son of Franklin Alonzo and Lois Thorpe Robison. He married Alice Ashby in March 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Los Angeles for some years before returning to Fillmore to make their home permanently. He was a milk distributor and was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities.

Survivors are: widow; sons and daughters, Wendell, Omaha, Nebraska; Linden J. Urbana, Illinois; Bryce, who is on an LDS Mission in Alaska (British Columbia Mission); Mrs. Jack (Helen) Findley, Santa Susanna, Cal.; Mrs. Burton (LaRae) Giles, Nauvoo, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Eldred, Culbert, and Mrs. Roy (Alverna) Davies, all Fillmore; Nolan, Ontario, Calif.; Mrs. Victor (Alda) DeMaio, Sunnymead, Calif.; Mrs. Carrie Despain, Oregon.

Impressive funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. in Fillmore First Ward Chapel. Dr. Evan A. Beckstrand of the bishopric conducted the service as follows:

Family Prayer - R. Eugene Ashby. Prelude and postlude music was played by Pamela Bertlesen. President A. LaVoy Kimball offered the invocation. "Beside Still Waters" was sung by the First Ward Choir directed by LaVoy Martin, with Edna McBride at the piano.

The speakers were Bishop Robert A. Nielson and Scott Speakman. "The End of a Perfect Day" was sung by Patsy Robison, accompanied by Marjorie B. Robison. Frank Davies offered the closing prayer.

Wendell Robison dedicated the grave.
