The Salt Lake Tribune, Saturday, 31 Mar 2007:

Peggy Dian Brower Robison
1931 ~ 2007

Farm girl, Jane of many trades, and the equal of two men, Peggy Dian Brower Robison, 76, clung tenaciously to the good life until the evening of March 29, 2007. Her valiant struggle against cancer was again a glowing example of courage to six children, four foster children, 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah February 27, 1931, the city girl migrated south at the age of two to her real niche in life, working the fertile fields of Flowell, Utah.

Elder L. Tom Perry performed Peggy's marriage to Jarold Robison on Oct. 11, 1947; their marriage was solemnized June 2, 1966 in the Manti Temple.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jarold, infant son, parents, Ormus "Pop" and Sarah "Mom" Brower, and four sisters.

She is survived by her sisters Ruthmary Brower of Delta and Shirley (Lowell) Dobson of Spanish Fork; children, Kae Starley of Fillmore, Kerry (Tom) Quigley of Saratoga Springs, Jay (Susie) Robison of Fillmore, Jeff (Jan) Robison of Fillmore, Ben (Mindie) of Fillmore, and Jaren (Jodi) Robison of Flowell, Utah.

Peggy felt strongly enough about education that she received her GED after most of her children were raised. Music was truly a love of her life. She dedicated countless hours to music callings at the stake and ward level. In her later years she enjoyed travel abroad with

with grandchildren and showing them her love. She was always ready to help someone in need and comfort the sick. She dedicated much of her life to assisting her sister Ruthmary when she became unable to care for all her own needs. Peggy was a hard working life-long farmer, dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and church worker. She will be remembered by hundreds of youth as the one who taught them to sing, lead music, and understand the power of good music. She loved hard work on the farm and became frustrated with illness that prevented her from doing her share the last few months. She served in many callings in the LDS church - teaching, music, leadership, and serving a mission at Cove Fort. Peggy and Jarold farmed with Jarold's brother Junior (Pearl) in Flowell for over 50 years. Peggy loved farming and the farming lifestyle.

Funeral services will be held at the Flowell Ward Chapel Monday, April 2, 2007 at 12 noon. A viewing will be held at the Flowell Ward building April 1, 2007 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and prior to the funeral between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Fillmore City Cemetery under the care of Rasmussen Mortuary.
